AirAsia's fleet includes Airbus A320s offering a seat pitch of 29.5 inches and width varying from 18 to 21 inches, depending upon aircraft. Food and beverages – including vegetarian, international or local fare – may be purchased on all flights. On long haul AirAsia X flights, passengers may rent a portable device to watch movies, TV and play music and games.
Each traveller may carry aboard 1 personal item, such as a purse or briefcase, and one bag with maximum dimensions 23cms x 36cms x 56cms and maximum weight of 7kgs. Note the combined weight of the personal item and the bag must not exceed 7kgs. Checked baggage allowances may be purchased in increments from 15 to 40kgs and discounts apply to pre-pooked online allowances.
AirAsia offers check-in via airport counter, kiosk, online and mobile device; however mobile and kiosk options are only available at certain locations. Counter check-in and bag drop opens 2 hours prior to departure and closes 45 minutes before take off. Fees apply for counter check-in for domestic flights in Malaysia and Indonesia. Online and mobile device check-in is available from time of booking confirmation until 60 minutes prior to departure.
