FCTG South Africa continues to open up the world for everyone to see – this time, through football

 Flight Centre South Africa is proud to announce its sponsorship of local football club, Transition Football, based in Bryanston, Johannesburg, for its 2022/2023 season.  
 
The football club is reaching for the stars thanks to a three-year partnership with famous Scottish football club, Celtic FC. The local club recently hosted coaches from Celtic FC who oversaw training and sessions with the players. Two of the best players have been invited to travel to Scotland to visit the academy, all expenses paid. 
 
“Flight Centre South Africa is so proud to announce our sponsorship of the club,” says Bianca Mazur, General Manager Flight Centre Travel Group. “It is so heartwarming that the talent and hard work of a local club has been recognized and that these young players have an even greater chance of reaching their dreams and full potential.” 
 
As to why the company chose to sponsor Transition Football, Mazur says that they simply love what they do. “We want to focus this year on supporting and sponsoring programmes that help the youth of South Africa achieve their full potential. Transition Football does incredible work in developing kids into aspiring and talented soccer stars and realising their dreams. For us as a travel company, our vision remains to give all South Africans the chance to travel and to reap the benefits of seeing the world. In this case, the opportunity comes through sport.” 
 
Transition Football Club Managing Director, Claudio Lorenzani, says that the world is opening up for their young players.  
 
“For the players, it brings the dream to life because they see opportunities abroad, which is what we want to do for them. Now we able to bridge the gap we had before by having Celtic Football as a partner and Flight Centre is giving us that dream by suppling us with kit to make the team look, feel and hopefully play professional,” says Lorenzani. 
 
“A lot of clubs don’t have sponsorship. So, we are delighted to have a massive sponsor such as Flight Centre. You always associate a big brand with a big club and team.” 
 
Flight Centre is sponsoring the club’s football jerseys which will display the Flight Centre logo.
