Underwater world is a top Queensland attraction on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. A marine wildlife sanctuary and aquarium, Underwater world features a massive 2.5 million litre tank filled with over fifty species of fish, stingrays, sharks and coral reef, and best of all, visitors can walk right through it in the aquarium’s glass tunnel.
There are many interesting exhibits and fun activities to enjoy at Underwater World. Discover colourful deep water fish as well as some of the most deadly, from the venomous, alien looking stone fish to the eight species of sharks and stingrays. The sanctuary also possesses beautiful creatures from the ocean’s reefs including vibrant sea stars and sea cucumbers.
If you’re after a unique, hands-on activity, Underwater World offers visitors the opportunity to go on a shark dive. With all the required training on-site, no diving experience is necessary and the staff will lead divers on a one and a half hours long expedition into the waters, introducing you to all of their underwater friends. There are enjoyable seal experiences too with daily seal shows and even a seal swim for those who care to get up close and personal with these adorable looking creatures.
