The MotoGP, the pinnacle of motorcycle racing, brings together the fastest riders and the most cutting-edge bikes. First introduced to Portimao in 2020 as part of the Algarve International Circuit (AIC), MotoGP Portugal has quickly become a fan favourite, thanks to its technical track and breathtaking Algarve scenery. Set along Portugal's southern Algarve coastline, Portimao is a charming blend of vibrant city life and laid-back beaches. Explore golden sands, delight in fresh seafood prepared the Portuguese way, or get lost in the historic streets of the old town. Portimao offers the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation for your MotoGP getaway. Known for its challenging layout and dramatic elevation changes, the Algarve International Circuit is a firm favourite among riders and fans alike. The track was designed by German architect, Hermann Tilke, and was built in 2008. The circuit has 18 turns (9 left, 9 right), and is known for its hilly terrain and spectacular views across the city. It is also one of the longest MotoGP tracks, at 4.5 km. It's as thrilling for spectators as it is for racers, providing stunning views from every corner of the track.
