Close to thirty airlines serve Brisbane Airport while offering direct services to over 40 domestic Australian cities and around 30 international destinations. The airport is a primary hub for Virgin Australia and secondary hub for Qantas, with both airlines providing international services from BNE. Qantas Link, TigerAir, Jetstar and Regional Express also have a well-established presence here. Brisbane offers direct International flights to points around the world including North America, Asia, the Middle East and of course New Zealand and the entire South Pacific. The international terminal has recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation, adding attractive lounge areas and more restaurant and retail space.

Check-in
Check-in facilities are located on the ground level of the Domestic Terminal. Qantas, Jetstar and Qantas Link are located at the north end of the terminal, nearest the entry to the airport. Virgin Australia is located at the opposite end with TigerAir being centrally located. All airlines provide self-service kiosks for check-in.
The check-in facilities in the International terminal are located on Level 4. The Departures board just inside the terminal advises of the check-in desk assigned to each flight.
Baggage
Baggage claim in the domestic terminal can be found on the ground level adjacent to the check-in counters. Baggage claim displays provide carousel information for each flight. The International Terminal baggage claim is located on level 2 in Arrivals.
For passengers who would like their luggage wrapped for safety and security reasons, Protectabag provides the service on level 4 of the International Terminal. Hours of operation are 5am to 11pm.
Baggage lockers are available for short and long term hire. These small, medium and large sized lockers are located at the car park entrance when leaving from the international terminal, and on either side of the domestic terminal.
Money Exchange
Both the Domestic and International terminals provide Travelex currency exchange desks where over 40 different currencies can be purchased. Each terminal also provides convenient international currency ATMs. These ATMs dispense Australian, New Zealand and US dollars as well as Euros. Internet Access / Wi-Fi
Brisbane Airport provides three hours of free Wi-Fi in the retail areas of level 3 and 4 of the International Terminal and the level 2 retail areas in the Domestic Terminal. Guests can log on to the free service by selecting “BNE Free Wi-Fi” from the available networks.
Family Services
Parent rooms are available in both the domestic and international terminals. These family sanctuaries offer change benches, private feeding rooms, microwave ovens and bottle heaters as well as comfortable seating. These rooms are located on levels 2, 3, and 4 of the International Terminal and on Level 2 of the Domestic Terminal, near gate 38.
Showers
Shower facilities are free and are located on the arrivals level and departures level in the International Terminal and in the central area of the Domestic Terminal on Level 2.
Airline Lounges
There are two airline lounges in the Domestic Terminal. The Qantas Club is located on the north side and features valet parking services. The Virgin Australia Lounge is located across from gate 41 on the south end of the terminal and also features Valet parking.
The International Terminal features four lounges, each located past the security check point and immigration and just steps away from the departure gates. The four airlines with lounges at the International Terminal include Air New Zealand, Singapore, Qantas and Emirates. These lounges are open to guests who are flying in First or Business or for their elite frequent flyer members. Other airlines may also have reciprocal agreements with these lounges, thus allowing their own First or Business class passengers and elite flyers use of a particular lounge.
Domestic
The Domestic Terminal is where internal Australian flights depart from. There are over 40 destinations across Australia that can be reached with a direct flight from Brisbane. Seven airlines provide service to the terminal, including Virgin Australia, TigerAir, Qantas and Qantas Link, Regional Express, Alliance and Skytrans.
The terminal is divided into three areas with Qantas located on the northern end, Virgin Australia on the southern end and Jetstar, some Qantas Link and TigerAir flights operating from the middle satellite concourse. Public food courts are located at each end of the terminal and a variety of shops and retail stores are located nearby. Qantas and Virgin Australia both operate lounges in their terminal spaces.
International
The modern, state-of-the-art International Terminal was built in 1995 and underwent expansion in 2006 to accommodate A380 flights. Another $45 million dollar redevelopment was completed in 2014, adding upgraded restaurant and retail space, comfortable lounge areas and other interior enhancements.
Transport
The Fastest: The quickest way into the Brisbane CBD and surrounding areas is by taxi or private car. There is a taxi rank just outside the Arrivals area at the domestic and international terminals. A $3.30 Brisbane Airport access fee will be applied to all airport pick-ups. Depending on the distance travelled and route taken, fares into the city typically cost between $40 and $50.
The Cheapest: Airtrain provides a rail link between the airport, city and surrounding areas, stretching as far south as the Gold Coast. Frequent express trains operate on the Gold Coast line ending at Nerang. Trains operate from approximately 5am to 10pm on weekdays and from 6am to 10pm on weekends. The fare from the airport to the city is approximately $16 one way.
Car Hire: There are six car rental companies that operate out of the Domestic and International terminals – Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Redspot and Thrifty. The rental desks can be found in the arrivals area next to baggage claim in Domestic and outside the Customs Hall in International.
Parking
Short Stay parking
The “Park Short” and “Park Long” car parks are located across from the Domestic Terminal within the same parking structure. This new, multi-level car park features quick and easy access to the terminal via a covered walkway. For those dropping off or picking up passengers or anyone staying at the airport for less than 4 hours, drivers are encouraged to park on levels 2 to 4 (car park P1). These levels provide the most convenient access to the terminal. Longer term parking is provided on the upper levels.
The International terminal also utilizes a single car park structure for short and long term parking and prices are determined by the length of stay. The new multi-level car park at the International terminal is located directly across from the terminal. The two are connected by a covered walkway. The car park provides “easy parking with bay finding technology.”
Business and Valet parking
Brisbane Airport provides a fast and efficient valet parking service at the Domestic car park P1. Valet parking can be accessed with an express ramp to Level 3 of the new parking structure. Level 3 is also the location of the skywalk between the car park and terminal buildings. Car wash services are also available when using Valet Parking.
Both Qantas and Virgin Australia provide valet parking services for their passengers as well. Qantas’ valet service is located on the north side of the terminal towards the entry lanes to the terminal. Virgin Australia’s is located on the south end and is accessed from Chloris Street.
Terminal Transfers
There are a number of ways to transfer between the Domestic and International terminals.
Brisbane Airport provides a T-Bus shuttle between both terminals and the Skygate shopping centre located nearby. Tickets cost $5 per person, one-way while children under the age of 4 travel for free. Departures are approximately every 20 minutes from each stop. The T-Bus operates from early morning and through the evening.
The Airtrain departs every 15 minutes with services between the Domestic and International terminals operating throughout the day. The Airtrain can be accessed just outside the terminals via a skywalk. The transfer fare between terminals are approximately $5 per person.
Qantas and Virgin Australia also provide timed bus transfers for their passengers. Each airline has a transfer area within the terminal for such connections. For specific information check with your Flight Centre consultant or the airline direct.

Currently, the Novotel Brisbane Airport is the only hotel located on or near the airport’s perimeter. This 4 to 4.5 star hotel opened in 2009. The modern hotel features spacious rooms, meeting and conference facilities, a bar and restaurant, an outdoor lap pool and a gym.
Two additional hotel developments are currently underway at Brisbane Airport. The completion date for the 5-star Pullman Hotel and 3.5-star ibis Hotel is slated for November 2016.
